Promoting kiteboarding in Charleston SC

Charleston trip 5/25/11

Heading for Mt. Pleasant for a week on 5/25. Anyone wanna point me in the right direction? I will have a kite partner and a vehicle for the week. Where should we head? Last time I was there I stayed at breach inlet and didnt explore because I had no vehicle. Open to driving anywhere around to find good places to ride. I imagine it will be busy during Memorial day weekend, any suggestions on a less busy place to kite?

I dont wanna bring my whole quiver and get dinged by the airline. I have a 7,9,12 and 15 and a 134 and 143 TT. Gonna bring the bigger board but what kites you think for this time of year, bigger ones?

You'll find that the sand bar at 28.5 on Sullivans has changed quite a bit (much larger) so be aware of that. Otherwise most people are sill riding Sullivan's 28.5, IOP 3rd ave or South end of Folly. Not too many secret spots that are close by car.
