We have moved forward to get approval on Folly Pier ahead of time through CCPRD (Chas County Parks and Rec Dept.), and are in multiple discussions with Sullivan's Island Town Administrator, Andy Benke, about that install on the Warning sign at 27th. Kite was stolen from my car at the Wild Dunes resort after I valet parked my car at the Boardwalk Inn 6/30/11 - 7/1/11.  2011 Cabrinha Crossbow 16m Kite Red/Black color 004 with bar, lines, pump, bag, Kestrel wind meter light blue, grey shoe strings for caliber sync footstraps.  Kite was flown twice it's in new condition.

Windy Moose!!

Heading for Mt. Pleasant for a week on 5/25. Anyone wanna point me in the right direction? I will have a kite partner and a vehicle for the week. Where should we head? Last time I was there I stayed at breach inlet and didnt explore because I had no vehicle. Open to driving anywhere around to find good places to ride. I imagine it will be busy during Memorial day weekend, any suggestions on a less busy place to kite?

I lost my board today just after starting a downwinder on IOP. It's an orange, white and blue Cabrhina Rival, don't know the measurement but it was pretty big. I lost it around 41st Ave, pretty far out. Body dragged back to it, saw it, and then it was gone. Tide was just turning in so there's a good chance it will wash up at high tide tonight somewhere south of where I lost it. Going to go out at sunrise and look around but if anyone finds… Continue

Yeah, I got a line tangle on a back loop, and couldn't get back to my board. It was last seen on the left side of the sandbar, moving out to sea. It's a 2010 Mako 140, blue, white and orange, my name isn't on it, but I don't know of anyone else riding that board around here.

Anyways, if anyone finds it, I'll buy ya a beer or give a reward or something.

Steve Schafer, died couple of days ago from a fatal shark bit while kiteboarding by Stuart, Florida! He was attacked by several sharks (maybe Great White). Is this the first shark related death for kiteboarding?? Definitely hits close to home because a lot of local kiters were just kiting there this past weekend for the Jupiter Kite Invasion. RIP Steve Schafer...keepin his family and friends in my prayers.

A big Congrats to Trey and Brandon. Trey won the amatuer division! Brandon took home third. Congrats guys. Nothing like taking some hardware home to Charleston. Charleston was well represented in the competition.

how is the north side of folly on a west wind versus the fort? The fort sounds dangerous with an outgoing tide (i have never kited there).
